Who is Holly Cotter and Why Should You Trust Me?
I know it's difficult to get to know someone over the internet. Even worse...with all the frauds and scam artists out there, it's even more difficult to know whom you can trust.
That's why I'm going to spend a few minutes telling you about myself...
The truth is, for most of my adult life, I was a prime example of a person who was OVER-educated and UNDER-paid.
It really was my own fault...
I just didn't know what I wanted to do with my life.
So, I ended up working a LOT of different jobs - trying to find my niche. Here's the SHORT list:
- Sales
- Elementary School Teacher
- Secretary
- Legal Assistant
- Computer Trainer
- Editor
- Childcare Worker
...And, the list goes on.
The result?
I never made much money and I was never able to do any of the things I dreamed about.
Finally, when I was 35, God decided it was time I became serious about my life.
My husband had a serious heart attack that left his heart severely damaged. The doctors told us it was only a "matter of time" before he would be completely unable to work. I realized I had to find a way to replace my husband's income without losing the income my own job was bringing in.
I began looking into home businesses, since it seemed to be the only option that would be flexible around my existing schedule and wouldn't require a huge amount of start-up money.
As I researched and evaluated opportunities, and began to put my business plan together, I realized that all my years of job-hopping had actually provided me with a wide variety of skills that would allow me to make my business a success.
It was an amazing revelation...God had actually been preparing me for this all along!
Well, long-story-short, my first couple of years I ended up wasting a great deal of time and money by aligning myself with the WRONG companies. But, I didn't give up.
My failures taught me WHAT to look for when evaluating an opportunity. And, in August of 1998, I finally hit PAY DIRT!
I haven't looked back since.
By December of 1998, the income from my home business was more than my husband's and my own salaries combined. I quit my J.O.B., and have been working part-time from home ever since.
And, I have been triply blessed...
- I have a job that I love, which provides for all my family's needs PLUS lots of extras.
- My husband and I are free to travel, get together with friends and family, or just spend time with each other whenever we want.
- God has given me a wonderful ministry...teaching others how they can also live a life of freedom and fulfillment.
